Soul Shine

Greetings All,
Mindfulness, awareness, conducive constructive change have all been central themes in my past posts. Apparently these are important to you also, so with this said, how do you as a mindful, aware person maintain anything vaguely resembling sanity and balance in this quagmire known as planet Earth? I ask because the more I observe and the more I hear about some of what's going on around me, I sometimes feel a sense of "to heck with all this!" and "why bother?"

For me a saving grace, something I'm extremely grateful for is the realization that despite the situation, and regardless of how I feel or what I think, I can choose to remain in solutions mode, focused on what's the best choice in all aspects. There's considerable solace in knowing that you're within the solutions realm, as opposed to the utterly disempowering alternative. Being in the realm that is solutions, places you within the realm of inner peace and balance. Being within the realm of peace and balance is the essence of the spiritual experience. Which reminds me of another realization, I can know and experience peace and balance, but not necessarily "feel good" or feel "happy". For a long time I associated peace with happiness, and nothing could be further from truth. Happiness is mere emotion, while peace and balance is a state of being, a sacred place impervious to the subjectivity of thoughts and feelings. It is from this place that I can maintain focus, continue to contribute towards righting this self destructive path we as a human collective are on and not feel overwhelmed or hopeless in the process. Once again it all comes down to choice. Let your soul shine!

To conform or not to conform....?

Greetings all,
Unless you've either had your head buried in the sand, you're amongst the countries top 10% wage earners who continues to benefit from the ever growing "grand chasm" which seperates the rich from the poor, or you're just disillusioned to epic proportion, you're probably painfully aware that as a nation we're in pretty dire straits right now. It's become apparent that our options have dwindled to a simple straightforward ultimatum: do we continue along the same path that got us here in the first place or do we begin the process of making wholesale change, begin to reverse this suicide mission we've been duped into believing is normal everyday life.

For those want to keep their head in the sand, or those who want to continue to profit from other peoples pain and suffering (i.e: war, foreclosures to name a few!) well..............!!

For those of us who are conscious (and have a conscience for that matter) it's high time we implemented a multi-prong strategy to begin turning this ship around. A great start would simply be to start being more mindful of how and where we spend our money, patronizing only establishments that are working to solve what ails us, rather than those who continue to take our gradual demise all the way to the bank.

Our company's contribution to the greater good, is to make available extremely effective and affordable on-line advertising tools. We at www.wowzzy.com understand that the cornerstone of any economy are the small and mid-size businesses located right in your community, and we're very serious about giving these endeavors a louder voice, about bringing them to the big table.

Whether you decide to check us out or not, I encourage you to be more mindful of who and where you spend your money. Next time instead of "the mart", buy your kids back to school school clothes from the local independent retailer. Go ahead and stop by that quaint little coffee house you've passed a thousand times while en-route to that national chain that has a location on every corner (sometimes two!) The most effective way to slay the beast is simply to stop feeding it.

Revisiting Slicing through the muck!

Greetings all,
It's been a few days since my last post, and from the looks of things not a lot has changed in cyberworld, the "muck" is still quite thick, piled high and there's plenty to go around! In the "real" world though, there's been some interesting developments. Over the last year and a half, I've gradually started to pay more attention to the presidential primaries, and considering my overtly ill regard for politicians and politics, this is indeed worth noting.
During the earlier caucases , it was the usual "muck", the posturing, empty rhetoric, and far flung promises inherent with western politics. However, gradually over time one candidate began to distinguish himself from all the other "talking heads", and what I found most compelling was how he accomplished this. Basically he packaged and presented himself as not being an "experienced politician" but as someone who first of all cited the obvious, that the political/governmental system is severely flawed, highly dysfunctional and needs to be overhauled, and second he could be trusted to oversee this change. A few short years ago, this would have been political career suicide, so why is this approach now appealing to more people?
I'm reminded that the definition of insanity is to repeat the same thing over and over, each time expecting a different result. Maybe as a country we're beginning to realize that we've been "insane" for quite a while now, and we need to shake some things up. Well, that same premise applies to us as consumers and entrepreneurs. There are definitely some fundamental flaws in how we try relate to each other, thus causing us to experience everything from anxiety to utter distrust. I know I can relate to this, and this is why I feel so good about our endeavor http://www.wowzzy.com/ because our emphasis is on "keeping it real!" when it comes to assesing need and concerns, and then addressing those in a "straight up!" straightforward fashion. No wink of the eye, no crossed fingers behind our back. Just "here's the situation and here's how we can help!"
If this approach can work for a politician in a presidential race, it can certainly work for us.
Here's to inner (and outer) peace!

Slicing through the muck in cyberspace!

Okay, I'm sure you can relate to this. Your company has a product or service that ranges from actually being beneficial, to what might actually save us humans from ourselves (watched the news lately?)

The problem is that A) you have virtually no web advertising budget and B) when you run a search, instead of your tide turning innovation, your senses are assaulted by nubile, buxom buffys who for $1.99 a minute will love you eternally and unconditionally, or some magical red pill that will place more "endow" in your endowment than the more commonly used green pill. Not that I have anything against penile enlargement aids, I just don't want to see them everytime I open my inbox! (Where do they get the budget for these ads anyway?)

Probably our only recourse is, simply, to be more selective regarding the websights and search engines we use, after all there's more to life than Google and Yahoo.

Cool Runnings!
